About Me

Hi! I'm Linden, founder of Talking Tree Events and the (somewhat chaotic) brains behind The Other Mothers' Group. You can read an in-depth About Me on the Talking Tree Events page, or read on below for why I created The Other Mothers' Group.

 

My background is in community and youth programming - mostly through public libraries (as a Masters-qualified librarian). I've been planning, managing, and facilitating events and programs for public libraries, schools, universities, and in community since 2015.

Mostly, though, I'm a community member, a mother (to a cherubic nearly-2yo daughter), and an AuDHDer who reckons this kind of program is something I would've wanted in early motherhood, and that this is the kind of community-level connection I have been wanting to pursue and create for my whole career - so I'm striking out on my own to do it!

​

I have found the journey through matrescence and the ongoing experience of motherhood to be a source of immense creativity, self-trust, and power. It's also really, really exhausting, and can be really, really isolating - challenges that, for me, are absolutely compounded by my neurodivergent brain and body.

 

I am excited to witness and connect with other mothers going through this beautiful, challenging matrescence process and I want to help create a space and an opportunity to breathe, connect, and learn from the wisdom of those who've come before us.

I am not a matrescence/motherhood worker, and not intending to position myself as such, which is why I'm bringing in skilled practitioners whose wisdom I'm excited to soak up. I hope you'll find me to be an enthusiastic, supportive, and genuine presence if you put your trust in me and come along to the Group.
